Comments:
I walked into my first Tanzanian Fabric, Fun and Facts Retreat in 2007, since I was planning to go to Tanzania. Imagine my shock when I walked in with my 1961 singer machine. I thought "Oh My Gosh! What have I gotten myself into?" It was my introduction to quilting. Thanks to Mary Mayfield, it didn't take me long to get a new sewing machine. It's not fancy but it allows me to do my quilting. I have been donating to the quilt auction since 2015. It took me that long to get my first quilt done since I didn't know what I was doing. It turned out to be a king-size and fetched a very good price. None of my other quilts have ever sold that well. So that's part of my quilting history. If you are interested in the brackets for hanging it, contact me and I would be happy to give them to you.
